Our story
  • 2007: Created “Kirinsan,” an open-source children’s song.
  • 2010: Launched kirinsan.org, a collective developing open-source children’s songs.
  • 2015: SPAJAM Tokyo C finalist, organized by MCF (Harada).
  • 2016: SPAJAM Tokyo D finalist, organized by MCF (kirinsan.org).
    • Qualified for the finals and made Yahoo! News.
    • While waiting for the judges after the finals, we made an app called “Hydrogen Water Maker” on a whim. It caused an uproar—and made Yahoo! News again.
    • “Hydrogen Water Maker” was rejected. We spent the little revenue left on hydrogen water.
  • June 28, 2017: Founded kirinsan.inc.
  • February 4, 2018: Released Death Metal Maker with kirinsan.org. Perhaps our overenthusiastic choice of domain, dmm.sx, was to blame: it was treated as though it had never happened, and we came away empty-handed.
  • June 28, 2022: Confirmed that our company was still alive and well, despite everyone’s unwavering belief that we would go bankrupt.
  • May 2024: Our representative welcomed his first child. Debate erupted over whether the company should become a hereditary institution.
